  • Purpose: Advance the Mission of Harvey Cedars Bible Conference through maintenance and construction of facilities, groundskeeping, and ensuring the conference’s safety and security.

    Reports to: Executive Director

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintenance and Construction

    • Oversees and participates in the maintenance and preventative maintenance of all conference facilities in a “hands on basis.”

    • Serves as construction supervisor for building projects.

    • Coordinates the work of contractors in the performance of maintenance and construction.

    Safety and Security

    • Performs periodic safety inspections of the facilities and sees to the correction of any problem

    • Investigates reported unsafe conditions, accidents and near-accidents.

    Grounds

    • Oversees the work on the grounds

    Other Duties

    • Performs miscellaneous other duties at the specific requests of the Executive Director.

    Other Position Requirements

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Must have at least five years of experience in any of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, construction, HVAC, or painting.

    • Must have extensive experience in the performance and supervision of maintenance and construction work.

    • Must be able to work smoothly and effectively with the Conference staff, volunteers and sub-contractors.

    • Must have a desire and ability to mentor teenage and young adult staff members.

Volunteer

We accept volunteers interested in using their skills to help with painting, sewing, groundskeeping, and other maintenance of facilities. There are plenty of areas where we could use your skills!
