Share the Faith: 2025 Theme
A letter from HCBC Director Jon Oldham:
I am filled with excitement as I look ahead to the summer of 2025. This year marks the 84th year of ministry at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference, and as we reflect on our past and prepare for the future, our mission remains steadfast. From the very first days of August 1941 when we opened our doors, we have been dedicated to sharing the gospel with families, teens, and our summer staff. The message of Jesus Christ—the hope of salvation through His work on the cross—has been at the heart of this ministry, and it is just as vital today as it has ever been.
However, as we look at the world around us, it is clear that our culture has drifted further from God, and the need for the gospel has never been more urgent. In this post-Christian era, I am more convinced than ever that Harvey Cedars must be a place where Christ meets people right where they are, transforming their lives with the power of His love.
With that in mind, I am thrilled to announce that our theme for the summer of 2025 will be ”Share the Faith.” It is my deepest prayer that thousands of individuals—whether they are first-time guests or returning friends—will not only hear the lifechanging truth of the gospel, but also leave with a renewed commitment to share that message with the world around them. Our communities, our families, our neighbors, and our coworkers are all in need of the hope and redemption found in Jesus Christ. As we gather this summer, it is my prayer that many will be emboldened to carry the good news of God’s love to those who need to hear it most. The gospel is truly the only thing that matters. It is the foundation of all we do at Harvey Cedars, and I am trusting that this summer will be a season of deep spiritual renewal and transformation for all who come. Our incredible line-up of speakers and activities are designed to refresh, challenge, and encourage you in your walk with Christ.
I personally invite you to join us this summer at Harvey Cedars. I believe this will be a summer unlike any other, and I invite you to be part of it. Whether you come as a family, a group, or individually, I believe you will find a place of refreshment, renewal, and spiritual growth. It is my prayer that you will leave not only renewed in your own faith, but also empowered to share the hope of Jesus with a world that so desperately needs Him.
I look forward to seeing you this summer as we gather to worship, grow, and Share the Faith.
Telling others about Jesus,
Sincerely,
Jonathan Oldham, Executive Director
