Waypoint is in Full Swing!
Our transformative gap-year discipleship program, Waypoint, is currently in full swing. This program empowers young adults to explore their faith and calling while gaining professional experience in roles such as housekeeping, food service, and maintenance.
As students participate in this program, they are focused on building a solid spiritual foundation. Recently, they completed the Life and Calling course from Cairn University, which has sparked discussions about what it truly means to follow Jesus and discover his unique callings for our lives. Outside the classroom, students cultivate lifelong habits like reading, memorizing, and meditating on Scripture.
Discipleship is the heartbeat of Waypoint, with gender-specific mentorship groups led by staff leaders. These sessions dive into the disciplines of a godly woman and man, fostering discussions that help students grow to become more like Christ.
Practical learning also plays a key role in the Waypoint experience. Recently, a local Christian CrossFit coach led a workout session, while a celebrated local photographer provided insights into starting a small business and mastering artistic skills.
Waypoint is nurturing faith and God-given purpose in the lives of young adults today and allowing them to explore career possibilities. We are thankful to see this thriving program continue to accomplish these purposes for the glory of God and the growth of his children!
